ilovepdfs2.com (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides free online PDF tools. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it and the choices you have.
Your files never leave your device
All of our PDF tools (merge, split, compress, convert, edit, sign, protect, OCR and others) work entirely inside your web browser. When you select a file, it is processed on your own computer or phone. Your files are never uploaded to our servers, never stored by us and never seen by anyone. When you close the page, the files are gone from our tools.
Passwords you type in the Protect PDF or Unlock PDF tools are also used only inside your browser and are never sent anywhere.
Information we collect
We do not ask you to create an account and we do not collect your name, address or phone number to use the tools. We may collect:
- Usage data: pages visited, time spent, browser type, device type, approximate location (country/city) and referring website. We use this through Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site and to improve it.
- Information you send us: if you email us, we receive your email address and message so we can reply.
- Cookies: small text files stored by your browser (see below).
Cookies and advertising
We use cookies for remembering preferences (such as dark mode and language), analytics (Google Analytics) and advertising (Google AdSense). Google and its partners use cookies to show ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings or at www.aboutads.info.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The PDF tools keep working without cookies.
Third-party services
To make some tools work, your browser may download program files from trusted third parties. Your documents are not sent to them:
- jsDelivr (open-source code delivery network) supplies the OCR engine and language data for the OCR PDF tool, and a library for old Excel files.
- Google Fonts supplies handwriting fonts for the Sign PDF tool.
- Google Translate: only if you click a “Translate part” button in the Translate PDF tool, the text of that part is opened on Google Translate.
These services have their own privacy policies.
Data security
Because your files are processed on your device, they are not exposed to risks such as server breaches. We use HTTPS encryption on the entire website.
Children’s privacy
Our services are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in Europe), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you. Since we hold almost no personal data, most requests can be answered quickly. Contact us at [email protected].
